Adi Tait – Multi-Media Artist

I am a multi media artist working in the areas of painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.

Having gained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (hons) in painting at Ilam in 2009, I have continued to experiment in new media and varying techniques. I have participated in over 30 exhibitions nationally and internationally and was one of the artists and project manager involved with the Ruby Coast Gateway sculptures. More recently I designed the Welcome Cloak sculpture now hanging at Greenmeadows – Putangitangi.

With a newly built studio near Mapua, I am now focused on new paintings and cyanotypes (blue prints). I like to push boundaries with my work and find inspiration from what contemporary painters abroad are doing. I am particularly interested in looking at the NZ landscape in new ways and referencing big picture issues that affect all of us including the use of media, spirituality and the human condition.
