Jane Smith – Painter

Jane has painted full time for the last 20 years. She works using watercolours from a studio in Tasman Village. Most of her images are of people, mainly back on, of ample proportions. She calls them “comfortable people”.

Jane is also influenced by her local landscapes. Her long views and vistas of the Waimea Inlet, Kina Peninsula and the Nelson mountains are perfect mementoes for overseas travellers. She has been involved in many group and solo exhibitions throughout New Zealand.
