Katrina Cosgrove

I’m a contemporary artist creating nature-inspired floral and botanical works that explore self-discovery, transformation, freedom, and the deep connection between nature and the human spirit.

I live on the Bronte Peninsula, Tasman, New Zealand.  My art studio/gallery is located in a magical spot on our property, surrounded by nature. It’s a special place, where I continue to evolve my practice, drawing inspiration from the natural world and my own personal growth.

My paintings are known for their bold colours, fluid movement, and dynamic botanical forms that echo the cycles of nature and the flow of life’s energies.

Drawing from both expressionism and abstract expressionism, I seek to create uplifting, soulful works that resonate on an emotional level – pieces that invite reflection, grounding, and a return to self.

My paintings are uplifting visual invitations, that remind the viewer to pause, to reconnect, and to find a sense of peace and transformation.

My work is exhibited at art shows and galleries across New Zealand.  I was also a finalist in the 2023, 2024 and 2025 Tasman National Art Awards.
